How All-On-4 Dental Implants Work
Most of your custom personal planning is addressed at your initial evaluation, preparing you for a smooth, efficient procedure. To begin with, Periodontal and Implants Associates, Inc. will generate a Cone Beam CT scan to capture and evaluate in detail all aspects of your jaw, like bone density, mass, integrity, or any bone loss. Next, we determine together the final look of your teeth restoration and any personal needs for your procedure. Following this initial evaluation, a dental lab creates a guided surgical template for us, which then allows your team at Periodontal and Implants Associates, Inc. to place your dental implants precisely in the most advantageous and ideal locations using innovative software. This step also allows the lab to custom design your restoration, which will be placed onto your implants the same day of your implant surgery, and complete your treatment with remarkable efficiency.
At the beginning of your procedure, any unhealthy teeth will be removed. We then surgically place the tiny, titanium All-on-4 dental implants into your jaw. After we have completed this step, we will place your restoration. This preliminary set of teeth is most often temporary and will be worn while you are healing from the implant surgery. Once both your gums and jawbone are healed, your permanent teeth will be placed at a follow-up appointment. The post-procedure healing time is minimal for these All-on-4 dental implants, and you are able to return to work or do your regular activities the next day. For a few months following your procedure, your gums and jawbone will continue to heal and reach the desired osseointegration. This simply means that your jawbone and gums will fuse and bond with your new implants, forming a stable, secure, and healthy integration of your new dental implants into your jaw. Periodontal and Implants Associates, Inc. will schedule a follow-up appointment several months after your surgery to complete your restoration procedure.
Cost of All-on-4
Like many dental procedures, your final cost is determined by a number of personal factors, such as the severity of your case, if any sedation is needed, the total number of appointments, extra lab materials, and what kind of dental insurance plan you have. We will provide you with an accurate estimate once we have completed your 3D CT scan.
Periodontal and Implants Associates, Inc. accepts most dental insurance programs and will help by submitting a pre-treatment estimate to your insurance carrier to determine your benefits. If you are not covered by dental insurance or have other concerns, we are happy to discuss other financial arrangements with you.
